This went from sketch to color in an hour and I've never felt more powerful see y'all tomorrow
always consuming- never satisfied, constantly looking for more opponents to sit to his level, looking to see interesting things in the world of jujutsu so he may triumph over them like a hunter finally able to kill its game. this is sukuna in my mind.
sukunas face. another thing i recognized that puts me off to his original design is that alot of the tattoos he has on his face simply go away for whatever reason. it makes him look so much more plain. so i decided to bring the tattoos back on the cowskull
now that i have an opportunity to talk about his tattoos, i felt like his true form would be the best opportunity to develop them more, the stronger his body is now i felt like having his tattoos grow with newer details as well as adding new ones would help demonstrate this idea
another thing i keened was the change in mahito's skin color from something more avergae to a disturbingly unnatural darker color. when i applied this to sukuna i found out i could also bring more attention to sukuna's tattoos by making then brighter to contrast his darker skin
firstly- the issues i have with the original design. to put it simply i find the whole to be pretty underwhelming for the main antagonist in a series where the big bads have all had more interesting and monstrous designs. i wanted to post the more monstery elements in his look.

@Reaper_R33 Usually when I practice (which I don't do enough) it's very messy and/or (extremely) cursed with no intention of presentation (plus SAI has no timelapse feature sadly), but I'll keep it in mind for the future and do more stuff like in the OP.
