And a good example of a more recent creature/animal starter design actually comes from the same region. Rillaboom (without the drum). Idk, personally for me, I prefer it when mons are more animal like than human like. It just gets kinda uncanny, ya know?

So, time for a little rant.

One thing for about Pokemon's current final starter designs that kinda bother me is the fact that a lot of the more recent ones seem to be more like a character rather than a creature/animal living in another world. Good example of this is Cinderace.

There was also a planned animated series featuring Project was through Kickstarter but alas this was also aborted 😵

I for one would have loved to see the character return in any shape or form, a Cowboy Bebop style animated show would have been awesome.
