small workflow gain already - baking depth textures of the old mission terrains and piping that into a displacement map affecting the new tiled approach I'm using will save me some time up-res'ing levels. can probs bake my old vertex paint splats too if I want

TO MY KNOWLEDGE there is no way to uncook the textures currently. I believe the only way for this to happen is for Steel Wool to patch the game with the 4k textures. this same "cooked" thing applies to most of the other textures as well.

here's like, my first try on the brush lmao

trying this smoother style out when i dont feel like using the rough pencil texture. the rough one makes fugly edges when colored kdkfkdff
