Today I read the first volume of TARTARUS, which is absolutely lovely. It’s a rich, textured world which feels fully lived-in and realized, and its story is a thrill, brought to life with absolutely masterful art. Just an incredibly entertaining read.

When I finished a project early, I took time to read the original novels that inspired MegaTen. For a series written in the 1980s, it’s quite phenomenal. A lot of plot devices from the games were borrowed from here. You don’t know how gruesome demon possession is until you read.

The whole first issue is just 3 self-absorbed white men moping in a bar because they miss the "good old days" when they mattered, while Black Panther does actual work. That's like the definitive take on what the Avengers actually are, but of course its miserable to read.

I don't think I could really put into words what he's going through in a short thread.

There's a lot from dysphoria to ptsd, to even struggles with his field of work.

He's one of those characters that doesn't feel like they have a place anywhere. So have some sad art
