The shade and light color SEEMS to be pretty consistent for a lot of Pokemon though sometimes they adjust these colors if they aren't working well with the base color. It looks like a soft textured brush and usually a line of slightly lighter shadow in the shadow transition. 7/?

All I did was take my fav pokemon, and made him my fav color. Gave him a looplet (Super Mystery Dungeon) and Defense Scarf. Also, gave him a mayor sash cause I happen to own a discord server pokemon village. Later, I gave him some weapons: a sword and a spear.
