Mr. Hokusai was saying that to be a truly great painter, you always have to be studying. Learning new techniques is super important if you're serious about painting. That must be why his Ukiyo-e prints are so enchanting. I've got to study too! ...tomorrow.

On the left is a piece I did in November and on the right is a piece I did in May. Months of improvement is shown and I'm so proud of myself, especially after someone shat all over the left one for doing nooby digital art techniques. They were right but I'm better now cause of it

2001 vs 2019. My very first digital work and my latest. I'm not really sure if I've improved cos my style and techniques tends to hop around randomly. Old one was ink on paper then colored with a mouse in PS5.0; I've had tenacity. 😂
