東京三味線職人だった松永定次郎氏が
国産初のバイオリンを
完成させた事にちなんで制定。

ちなみに、
世界一高いバイオリンは、
1721年製「レディ・ブラント」
2011年に取引された
約1600万ドル(当時の価値で12億4千万円)
だそうです。
