Creating a digital oil painting takes patience, and time. It is a labor of love, just as it would be on canvas or paper. I go through many layers of work to adapt the image to a piece I would be satisfied with. It is not a 1 or 2 minute process. Blocking, textures layering WIP

Getting through the "ugly" stage. Blocking out highlights and shadows isn't very glamorous or sexy, but it's important that you get it right. At least the beard is coming along nicely.
