Friendship: Traversing the Ages

I was inspired to create this piece because I reached friendship 10 with Zhongli, and because I was inspired by his backstory. It took me 5 1/2 days to complete.

I love the commanding color contrast and glowing golds of his ancient Geo Archon look, and wanted to try to paint Zhongli with the same intense sort of atmosphere.🤩

I had some difficulties with the background TT_TT, but well, I tried :')!

My participation for the competition. Hopefully i'm not too late.
Short story: After the harsh battler against Azhdaha. Morax make a memorial and left a note for not disturbing it. Morax left with a bitter sweet as he had to left his old friend.

Inspired by the time when zhongli found azhdaha. It was the moment azhdaha step upon the world above and the agreement of lord geo to let him live among the people above ground.

I drew Zhongli for the fanart contest! My inspiration is of the stone table where Rex once sat with the Cloud Retainer and Guizhong, with Zhongli reminiscing over those days long gone.
