but i can do smoother lineart now which i am happy about (because i used to hate lining because i was very wonky)

Digital always looks smoother in a bad way. Flash cartoon like. But in digital there is a color.

Tried a more serious coloring attempt in Clip Studio and I am starting to understand how brushes and pens work there. This is just a quick sketch I still outlined with SAI because the flow is smoother for outlines there… for coloring I used Clip Studio which was a lot of fun.

My main focus for this animation is to make everything a little smoother/cleaner. One idea I'm thinking of incorporating is having the outlines be a darker version of the team color instead of just black.

I'm starting to understand what I'm doing wrong & I realized what was wrong ever since I drew this character of mine. Koyumi. I needed to apply a smoother edge & a harder edge on top everytime I work w shading & since then, I made improvements. This is still a WIP tho.
