In Laytimaar, the mythologies are going to probably be fictional in-universe. Stories created by people generations back in order to make sense of the world.

Definitely amongst my absolute favorite games of all-time.

Similar to how I'd say DOOM Eternal embodies the essence of "the" exemplar FPS or Elden Ring with open worlds, I'd say Octopath Traveler 2 embodies the essence of a JRPG, personally.
