I came across this illustration today, and I love how it includes both beautiful experiences and pain.

It reminded me a bit of this quote about striving for “wholeness” (including sadness, disappointment, frustration, failure!) over happiness.

I’m kinda disappointed they’ve created such an outstanding character only to push him into the background after he had his “glow up”. The few scenes he had in the latest Psycho Pass movie were just 🥵❤️ Nevertheless, I’m happy he’s finally made peace with himself.

Thought it was going to be a nice slice of life comedy but it has unlikable main character, devoid of any charm or fun, the fan services is annoying, and it just disappointing. If you make it past 10 chapters godspeed.

A previous incarnation of this story had existed some years ago as ‘Coal Face.’ After a disappointing time trying to acquire a publisher (much to my dismay/sadness) I abandoned the story but it refused to die.
So using the same setting/themes a new story arose from the ashes!
