The rather sinister ‘fern monkey’, made from wet rhizomes of the scaly hare’s-foot fern bound over a wire frame filled with moss. Put in the cellar over the winter, the monkey hung in a comatose state until regenerated with a soaking in the spring. #fernfactfriday #fridayfernfact
