いや、海洋コロニー内で、水陸両用MSを開発するくらいのことはやっているので、砂漠だの寒冷地の環境を再現した試験用コロニーもあるんだろうけど、時間少ないよなぁ…。
ちな、みんな大好きガンダムだと小説版でシャアがジーンたちのザクが未帰還になったことで、「MS１機の価値は巡洋艦に匹敵する」と自分の失態をかみしめる描写がある。
