I stick with main palettes for them that they prefer to wear/suit them, and if it deviates from that it's either borrowed clothes or some other catastrophe XD

My characters all have a colour(s) that represents them anyway and I use it for colour coding my story planning 🤓

Real talk, I did this version with the palette for SMB1/3 Fire Luigi from Mario Maker 2, and I actually really like it, but I didn't want to just yank the colors from somewhere else (even though there was a period last year where I used those same values for their hair lol)

I heard it was Aura Day.
Here is an alternate design for Luno (Riolu) that I drew a few weeks ago. The idea was to give a "mysterious swordsman" vibe that deviates from his original color palette and hides his connection with the moon.

Eva's former occupation prior to her retirement was being a law enforcer, or Cop, further confirmed from her dialogue in "Forgotten Childen - Part 4", and the "Scaboddas" entry in the Lorebook.
