Paper Mario: The Origami King looks super cool already, but I do agree that the designs for the potential partners are a bit lacking. So, I sketched my own interpretation of a few! (There are probably more, these are just the ones that were in the trailer.)

The way the partners (and NPCs!) used to be established to the setting was wonderful, feeling genuinely living there and/or contributing to the setting in some way. Meanwhile these generic enemies don't feel much beyond poking fun at typical NPC-role they're forever cursed with.
