I know this sounds kind of crazy but I compared the Scythe design in the files to the top part of Ruby‘s Scythe in RWBY and it actually looks pretty similar. The design in the files has slightly sharper edges but the design is really close.

Gaia bumps into someone and apologizes, a pesky habit she picked up in Japan.

However, similar to how Kimiko saw Gaia while Blind, Merry heard Gaia while Deaf.
