That's just Smasher lingo for making the opponent play on your terms when not edgeguarding.

Ranged play seems to be frowned upon because Smashers tend to lack adaptability.

🦌: When I'm not doing sect business I like to tend to the garden behind the Hanshi and pick tea leaves. Other times I'd observe and paint landscapes to ease my mind 💙
