Played the demo of Metal: Hellsinger. Absolute blast and when you manage to get into a flow it feels godlike. Only gripe is that its a bit hard to weave the dodging with the rhythm when enemy attacks don't seem to follow it. Overall I'm very excited for the full game :)

This is a really cool feature. It's an evolution of the Street Fighter 3 games, which had separate animations for blocking mid and high attacks while standing.

By utilizing low block poses that look like they could block both mid and low attacks, it was not only a smart way to save memory, it also mandated that the low blocks feel especially defensive. Those dual purpose poses FEEL GOOD.

Unlike Street Fighter 6, Street Fighter 3 only has a single low block animation. This played whether you were low blocking mid (standing attacks) or low (sweeping attacks). However SF3 and past SF games in general used low block poses that looked good for both situations.
