Trying to study how to improve my style. I divided out the stuff I wanted to draw, the line work I liked, and the coloring I gravitate to.
@twoshortswords I slacked a bit in art this year, but I've been trying to practice in a few different areas - more dynamic posing, shading, and even monstrous body types. I still have a long way to go, but I'm definitely improving!
Hmm ive been looking wt this and im not sure if ive improved or not. These 2 pieces are about a year apart and p similar. Idk maybe im overthinking things
So, after a very annoying art block, I was finally able to finish something. I did some things I hadn't done before. Lines vary in thickness, shading is (imo) better and overall its just an improvement over my previous works.
I will apply everything done here in future drawings.

Day 2 attempt of left-handed (my non-dominant hand) drawing working up to the #birdwhisperer project prompt for December 28 of a Bluejay. Focused on the close-up of the head. Can feel a shift in my brain and some improvement in fine-motor skills.
@TheFrenchNugget after getting some really constructive feedback from accomplished artists, i feel that i've improved in construction, but also as important, learned the proper way to use my artistic tools.

I'm a little embarrassed to see my old art, but I can see how important practice and working on fundamentals has helped me improve. I still have ways to go, but I'm proud of myself
Working on the square art thing, but while choosing what art to put in it I noticed how much my silly art has improved this year

In each of these I really felt like I reached a new peak. Looking back on it now, the theme of my improvement in 2022 was definitely lighting and texture and I'm super proud of it!
#Hades2 has been announced and I couldn't be more excited!!!!! Hades is the series that improved my art the most and I can't wait to draw more fun characters!!
