I'd say try putting random background that might fit your character and then add environment lighting and lens blur to make the character fits the background, like this one

continuing to revise the sea of space mod. top is new, bottom is old. direct lighting is lower on the characters but the rim lighting is higher. the glow on the bg buildings was reduced.

also redid carol's face textures to give her some shading rather than it being a flat color.

**UPDATE** For managed to get quite a lot done, still midway through the hair, should finish tomorrow. Added some effects to help with colour and how it will affect lighting. Hope ya'll like, crits always welcome.
