Absolutely without a doubt it's Ed McGuinness ()! To me he's the only one who's ever gotten Superman's look right!

It feels cheap to say Alex Ross, but I genuinely like his Superman the best. Even compared to how he does other characters, this is far and away the one he does with the most care.

It's a VERY common error. Heck WAAYYYY back when I interned at Marvel, I would tell non-comic book people, & they'd say "Is that, like, Spider-Man?" Or "...Spider-Man and Batman?" And I'd say Batman, WW, & Superman are DC Comics, and they'd always shrug, having never heard of it.

You are wrong the problem with superman is he has been handled by incompetent people super man is not a prop that turn evil for a lousy what if he is a character that is suppose to represent doing the right thing

Hot take: Injustice is where evil Superman peaked. It squeezed all of the narrative utility we could possibly hope to get from this trope, and we should bury said trope for at least a decade.

Superman's looks. Dug his jeans, tee & cape debut, to the sigil generating armor with the indestructible cape, and the explanations for them eg linked to his dna/ house of El. Even dug the depowered look with the Fleischer S & buzz cut. The black armor was fire.
