Ah, I see you're reading some interesting stuff there Erofi... (Disclaimer: For Pochi-sensei's Ane Naru Mono Zenshuu doujin that Iofi's reading, I traced the cover artwork of the doujin. The doujin cover is from Pochi Goya's artwork.)

Well... I mean... the first part is just kinda self explanatory. I used to trace artwork. I got called out for it and I’ve been clean ever since. Someone messaged me on deviantart saying a that someone had traced my art. I’m pretty sure the person that traced it is banned lol.

No, did the artwork. She did a couple of the pieces in the original Kitten Academy stories book if you saw it.

Reminiscing on the time some random mobile card game completely stole my soul for its artwork.

What are some design "tropes" you (subconsciously) carry over in your artwork. For me, they're oversided harnesses/straps, fingerless gloves, and VERY long sleeves/thigh highs. I'm not kidding. XD

I am aware of how suspiciously close it looks to the other artwork. Copying a pose is not illegal. Claiming a traced work is. Selling fanart is.
There are numerous redraw challenges where this closeness to the original style is endorsed but only today people decide to go apeshit?

Hey fellow artists, I’m Emie, I'm currently obsessed with Fire Emblem and Genshin. I'm mostly self taught and I still have much to learn but I don’t trace artwork.

These are a lil old, but at least the screenshot refs I use for my artwork. Theres a BIG difference between using screenshot as a guide vs directly tracing off of it.

Oh, now I see what weirds me out with the G5 artwork.
The eyes seem to look at a distance rather than at proximity.
