@NoStraightRoads I don’t have much to add but I did this DK West drawing a while ago that I still really like!
Perhaps you would like to argue that DK is also motivated by an attraction to Pauline/Lady.
Doing so will pull us into the weeds of deciding the distinction between modern Donkey Kong and Cranky Kong and possibly DK Jr. as well.
