As the Hornet is 1/2 sized, we need to strink it back down a bit. My personal choice when using a size 1 based mech for a 1/2 sized is to scale down at to 75%

Select the pixels of the mech, expand selection by 2 pixels and fill with red and... we're done.

Firstly. I rarely actually erase parts, especially when I'm first crashing them together. Use a Layer Mask! You can fuck around with the mask to show and hide parts of the layer without actually losing the pixels. Saves a lot of time <3

So here's the parts I settle on using.
