After that, it was on to inks & colors. I would've loved to get more into some of the tech (and got to later on in a few wide shots), but...this is comics! And a lot of the backgrounds are gonna be covered up by word balloons.

I believe it were Todd Lockwood's illos of a red dragon in the 3.5(?) Monster Manual. I got fixed on an idea of an art education and carreer instead of tech after looking at that book.
