I think the reference is from Kimimaro, a character from Naruto. Has the ability to manipulate bones.
I made her jump pose, as if evading the attack and ready to counterattack using the long bones in her arms and then SLAASHH!!!

a great technique for perspective (especially with heads) is using a cube instead of a circle!

also using more shapes for anatomy helps make a character look less stiff.

also, when drawing arms, draw the hands first because it allows for more planning in arm shape!
