One of my biggest "paleoart pet peeves" is when trilobites are reconstructed as if someone just dropped their chocolate-brown fossils right onto the seafloor. If living arthropods are any indication, they were likely very diverse in color and patterning!

Some WIP images of a new dungeon/level. I'm not using a 3D game engine, so I use this very simple 2.5D trick. Sprites double in size and then reset back to their original size. I hide the horizon with another sprite & it creates a "3D" infinite tunnel effect
