I find it interesting that we haven't seen a new Rare Species since Monster Hunter 4. I'm still holding out hope that we will eventually see a new one in the future.

Theory-wise, Lagiacrus's name could came from the Latin words "Pelagicrus" meaning sea & "Crus" that means leg, which "Crurotarsi" (a group consists of crocodiles & others) named from. (1/2)

I tried MHFU first but only got passed by some Popos and that's it LOL, preferred God Eater's character customization at the time. But the first game that took me a bit longer in the village quests would be MH3U.
