Trigun Stampede should be used as the golden standard on how to write an effective villain. The way they handled Knives makes him a character that's up there with Ryo (Devilman), Johan Liebheart and so on in terms of how they're presented. 10/10 antagonist.

This is boring, go watch jojo, devilman crybaby, or one piece (or read them) these are all good Japanese media series with actually unique art directions and not bland ass dudes.

Remember kids, looking generic is fine, but it's boring.
