I've heard the news. Leiji Matsumoto sadly passed away. Without his work on Danguard Ace, Gunbuster wouldn't have existed. Without him, Kazuhiko Shimamoto wouldn't have given us immortal characters like Domon and Master Asia based on Leiji's works.

The OST of Escafown is poetic, enchanting and dramatic. Gunbuster’s OST is epic, inspiring and heroic. Diebuster’s OST is just like Gunbuster’s but x2. And Gundam Unicorn is a mixture of action and adventure. If I have to keep one, it would be Gunbuster for the nostalgia.

It’s kinda confusing to the layman, but the character Noriko Takaya in Gunbuster was named after animator Noriko Takaya (Shinji Higuchi’s wife), voiced by Noriko Hidaka and her design was modeled on singer Noriko Sakai.
