I think mochi are more often eaten in winter.
This is another hot mochi soup eaten around New Year.
It's a sweet porridge of red beans with mochi, called Oshiruko in Japanese.
I actually am thinking of about making this oshiruko for mochi video.

추석이니 송편을만들고 싶다고 하여 셋이 모여앉아 처음으로 송편을만들었다. 모양은 예상대로 울퉁불퉁~ 그럴듯하게 쪄 나온 송편을 맛 본 지우의 첫마디 "엄마, 송편이 딱풀 맛이야~ 딱풀송편!"
