say what you want about zuko and katara’s relationship, but understanding and empathizing with your enemy during times of war is beautiful and inspiring idc
it’s the way sokka and katara grew up in a cold environment but knew of familial warmth, but the opposite is true for zuko and azula who grew up in a warm environment surrounded by those who were emotionally cold.

if you still call zuko a “colonizer” that tells me
1. you didn’t watch the entirety of atla or learn the main lessons of the show
2. you only argue about fiction affecting reality when it’s convenient to you
