Lastly, and this is 100% self serving. I hope Salamence is one of the pseudo-legendaries that returns for Scarlet and Violet, considering it’s my absolute favorite one and takes the spot of my favorite Pokémon rather often, a feat considering how fluid that list is.

Another pick I find underrated, I think Hariyama would be a fun returning pick. Depending on the Fighting-type competition, it might see some actual use should it come back!

I know they’re basically already confirmed but can mention for a second about how happy I am that Florges is coming back? It’s a neat, albeit limited, cleric/special tank with a gorgeous design. Outside of Clefable, it’s the Pokémon I think of first when I hear “Fairy-type”.

Yanmega’s a Pokémon I think deserves more love. It can do some really neat things with its two awesome abilities in Speed Boost and Tinted Lens, and I think more people should give it a shot.

Kangaskhan is also a big favorite of mine! While fun in singles on its own, it was never the strongest, but if Megas came back, it would be fun to watch it rip VGC a new one (and wouldn’t be entirely unfeasible considering Spain’s distance to France cough cough reach reach).
