Day 315: Pac-Man rocks the hoops! Pac-Man is no slouch in video games, but did you know that he's also got some courtside game?! In Japan, he has a side gig as a mascot for the professional B.League basketball team, the Shimane Susanoo Magic! This came as a total shock to me.

Day 314: Pac-Mech! UK-based concept artist Calum Alexander Watt created this great poster for an idea called PacMech, celebrating Pac-Man's 35th bday in 2015. Such a cool idea with nice craft and a great reinterpretation of the concept!

Day 310: Pac-Man phone home! With the rise of mobile phones, has been a fixture in our pockets. Whether on smart phones, flips, or tablets, has headlined many mobile games, particularly in Japan, where the character was born & mobile phone play is ubiquitous.

Day 283: California Dreamin'! Today I'm sharing this clever 1982 Frank and Ernest comic strip by artist Bob Thaves. This cheeky, thoughtful comic launched in 1972 and was one of my favorites as a kid. This particular strip captures an early '80s California vibe & Pac-Man chill.

Day 267: Biking for Dots? In 1995, a Pac-Man game was in development for the SNES Life Cycle 3500 Extertainment Bike, an oddball peripheral/exercise bike that could connect to a SNES. A Pac-Man game was announced, but never released. The bike (and its price tag) didn't last long.

Day 166: Unfinished game. In 2004, renowned animator Don Bluth was hired to develop Adventures, a new Namco game. He designed characters & environments before it was shelved. While PMA was never released, some elements found their way into Pac-Man World 3.

Day 158: Breaking Camp. Keeping with the reinterpretaion theme, this "Pac Camp" is a piece I've dug for a long time, by artist R.Tesar Gustiar . It's just peaceful and clever, just right for this chill Saturday.

Day 19: Cover Model! You know you've hit the Big Time when & feature you on the cover. Well, has had more than his fair share of newsstand love over the years. It's only fair when you're that photogenic, I guess.

Day 16: Controversy! Tod Frye programmed 2600 w/ nearly 100x less computing power than the arcade, different screen orientation & still-emerging industry ideas of what = proper arcade translation. Still, some critics & fans panned the game & given it a bad rap, I think.
