LOGUETOWN ⭐️⭐️

I know it was kinda the point but I still feel like Dragon's intervention was unearned. In general the arc felt rushed.

ARLONG PARK ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of the most celebrated arcs in OP for good reason. Nami's backstory is imo the best of the entire crew, right up to present day. Everyone gets a good fight here. Luffy's "I can't use a sword" speech gets me every time.

BARATIE ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sanji's backstory was incredible. Mihawk's appearance too...and Luffy punching Krieg's cape was a top-notch shonen moment. But the arc is a little scattershot...and Pearl was an atrocious inclusion, wtf was Oda thinking

SYRUP VILLAGE ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Now we're getting somewhere. Slightly biased as this is where I started reading the series. Usopp has a bad design but is a solid character right away, Kuro was a great "early villain" too--sinister and deadly. Also, they get their first ship!

ORANGE TOWN ⭐️

Buggy is only a good character in later arcs, guys...and his crew is even worse. Nami's first appearance was funny but aside from that she kinda languishes. Only good moment here was the dog!
