Thinking about the excitement of getting a PS1 at Xmas many years ago, always felt that this illustration summed up that feeling of a system that vibrated with cool new possibilities:

I tried to interpret the original pixel art as closely as possible for this image, retaining the qualities that made these designs so iconic, and...its hard! The originals are so full of personality but it's also fun to re-interpret and try to do something different too.

Just a regular Thursday, getting high on the pirate ship supply and then freakin' out underneath Monkey Island holding some dead guys shrivelled head 🤷‍♂️
