If you disagree, then your perspective about Doctor Doom’s depth is worthless. Doctor Doom’s heritage is as important as Magneto’s. They only exist because of the oppression they endured.

He wouldn’t have become Doom if he weren’t Romani. His parents would be alive, the accident would’ve never happened. That’s the kind of white privilege that Victor does not have. And this is why his heritage CANNOT be erased (Marc Spector Moon Knight #39).

Back to the topic of racism. Victor’s Romani heritage is an INTRINSIC part of his character, very present in his daily life and also a reminder that he and his family were persecuted (Fantastic Four Special #1; Marvel Universe #2).

On the topic of vulnerability, Victor hates it, yet he’s able to feel guilt and self-loathing, rarely seen in shallow villains. He has shown compassion multiple times (Fantastic Four #17; Doctor Doom and the Masters of Evil #4; Secret Wars #5; Fantastic Four #116).

Please take note that Victor at first used his intellect to retaliate against the Baron’s oppression. He has never been evil at his core, and his first instinct is ALWAYS to protect his people (Fantastic Four Annual #2).

Her soul is forever damned in hell and saving her becomes one of Victor’s driving forces to study both magic and technology, which leads him to the accident that scarred his face (Doctor Strange and Doctor Doom - Triumph and Torment).

His mother Cynthia von Doom delved into the arcane in order to free her people from the Baron’s persecution. She then summons the dark powers of a demon (Mephisto). Notice that Victor grew up in this environment where Latverians persecuted his people (Books of Doom #1).
