竜 (ryuu) = Eastern-style dragon, from Oriental myth. Four legs on a snakelike body, flies without wings, has mystical powers.
Here's a funny example. This is taken from a pamphlet aimed at Japanese participants in an international fusion energy programme. It says that many people see themselves as representatives of their own nations, and therefore put forward their ideas with pride.
Someone is selling a version of Second-Time Hero on Kindle for £2.99 called "The Vengeance". Looking inside, it's literally just the fan-translation turned into an ebook.
You know, copyright violation aside, is it weird if I think "The Vengeance" is a cooler title?
