Tbh I really find it interesting how the 90s clone saga painted Ben as a saint/angel of redemption while dark web heavily leans on demon/devil imagery for Ben.

so in the clone saga canon Kaine admits that Ben is the ONE person in the world who cares about him and like. keep in mind that at this point in time all Kaine ever did was torture/harass Ben. So from Ben's perspective Kaine is his abuser.

also something i need to point out is that in canon Kaine tortured and killed Ben with his own hands so like. the fact that Ben still gives him a chance after every single time is a testament to both of their characters and their bond despite being EXTREMELY UNHEALTHY.

Once again, Ben Reilly's ultimate sacrifice and greatest act of love for his family—that is, dying for them—is the defining moment of his character that fully cements him as my favorite Marvel character of all time.
