The Yuki-onna chapter in the manga might be tops in terms of having the best overall page spreads. There were multiple more that I wasn't able to even include her!

Leaf, a boy with no wings, wants to be with Kureha, a woman with wings engaged to Hanza. Hanza wants to kill Leaf, but Tetsuro steps in. Maetel stops him, telling Tetsuro that it's illegal, but Tetsuro doesn't care. Maetel does not budge from her stance.

We'll start with Yayoi Yukino, our Queen Millennia. You'll notice her physical differences, where in the manga/movie she bears a much closer resemblance to Maetel than in the TV series. (last image is Maetel for comparison's sake)

It was a good year for Galaxy Express! I get surprised nearly everyday when I see new products or news coming out. A concert, Maetel being added to a popular anime, 4K releases of the films, alcohol, an ongoing manga, I love it!

Onto 2022! 🚂
