For #TagderDeutschenEinheit, here's our map of the first general election post-reunification. A big win for the CDU, bolstered by Helmut Kohl's promises of quick prosperity and "blühende Landschaften" ("blooming regions").

And here we are - Saturday's victory for @nzlabour mapped. Noteworthy for its scale - the best Labour result since 1946 and the first one-party majority in NZ under MMP - but the @NZNationalParty fared better in the electorates, Nat MPs consistently outperforming the party vote.
