Been reading some Metroid manga.

Some of the only times I've seen Samus being physically attracted to someone in the Victory Techniques for Metroid & Shape of Happiness manga.

Samus is not only into women, but alien women too.

Before I brought up my idea for a backstory for Layer & why she likes Zero so much.

I at least headcanon that her unused design was her prev look.

She then emulated Zero's style in regards to changing his hair to a less wild looking ponytail.

What if: X9 is revealed. X & Zero are shown in their own trailers, but NOT Axl. Capcom is quiet.

An intro stage demo is out later. You play as X & get captured.

You get saved... by X, revealing you've been Axl as he transforms back for more of the stage.
