Look, both respect the design, just with different proportions
My point is, you will only make them shine if you pose it correctly
If you have both posed still with a generic pose they will feel the same, but if you use a dinamic pose they will shine, even in 2d

This one is my favorite, I honestly think they should put someone else in charge of the 3d renders

(and maybe change the skin tone too, like the one on the second image)

If we need them to capture Uekawa's style, then they should do it with his current style
And for that they just need to scale down the head, hands and feets a little bit (maybe change the form of the boots as well)

I think they should just try to go more close to Uekawa's current style
But they have to do it well, because there are some 3D versions of Uekawa's poses that just doesn't look good, here is an example of one that doesn't look good (I couldn't find a higher quality version)

Man maybe they need to put someone else in charge of the 3d renders. The model is good by itself but the way they are using it..... not so much
There are some renders that make it look good, idk how the model works but I'm completely sure they are not using it's full potential
