Today I worked on a companion to the painting/journaling that I posted last night. Then I found a box of supplies that I haven’t looked at in a while. There was some black gesso so I painted a small board with it, then started layering colors. Have no idea where it’s going.

A friend gave me a candle that someone bought for her. She can no longer tolerate strong smells. It was exquisite. It is made in a monastery in France and reminded me of spices and flowers. I will finish this tomorrow! I ran out of the markers I need...

I’ve always disliked how early it gets dark because of the coming time change. I love to be outside as much as possible and it seems as if the beauty of the changing leaves is overshadowed by the darkness.
