Kyurem however IS an incomplete third piece, an empty vessel, but the incompleteness itself has become its defining concept.
From the start of its existence, Kyurem is a parasite seeking a viable "energy source" to "plug" into and absorb.

When the original dragon split, it didn't split into 3 incomplete pieces.

Zekrom and Reshiram are NOT "halves" of a "whole", they are two "wholes" that are complete opposites.

They're both fleshed out creatures that would likely be equals to the original dragon they used to be.

Since XY, Pkmn games have featured ride Pkmn to some extent, yet none have since made use of this on that was literally designed to be ridden!
