What a week for protocol droid designs!

I've always wanted more diversity in all of its myriad forms in the GFFA. This ALSO goes for droid designs. The idea that every species would interact with a standard 3PO design never worked for me. Too humanocentric.

While folks almost always refer to her as "princess" or "general", one thing that I've taken cue from the Maker on is focusing on her actual job as a senator. In a more kind, less war-torn galaxy, Leia would have been the perfect political leader.

I've been thinking a lot about the New Republic lately. It has been presented in the new canon as having some big successes and glaring failures. So, when folks like Holdo speak of being the spark to "restore the Republic", what parts are worth fighting to restore?
