You ever tried to draw these characters, despite how simple their designs are, but it still looks “off”? Or when bootleg products draw them, it is recognizable as them, but not quite? This is what ppl don’t realize. Simple character designs take the MOST effort to look “right.”
Nih si gepeng udah diwarnain. Mau break makan siang dulu. Abis makan siang saya ada pengumuman seru:

Ini gambar saya waktu saya umur 16. 2006. Medium tradisional lalu saya scan. Bangga sekali dulu. Kalau ditanya apa ada rasa malu kalau lihat ini sekarang? Ya ada sedikit. Tapi saya kira itu baik, pertanda saya tumbuh. Mungkin akan menarik kalau saya gambar ulang. Hehe.
"You ready for another 'bout?"
"What, you're getting sleepy?"
.
"IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO!?"
"You had to ask."
.
"New haircut?"
"I can see you've copied my beard."
.
"No,no, gimme that. You have the little one."

Thor and Cap's little interactions mid-battle are my favorites!
I LOVE THIS CHARACTER IN #KingdomNetflix SO MUCH. HE’S AWESOME. FULL STOP.
(And sometimes the resemblance to @vngnc is there and I was like, “Lah kayak Izzy.”)
But yeah he’s my favorite. 🐯
It’s X-Men. A safe space for those deemed different by the world. They can be anything because they are anything.
Maybe it’s time for us storytellers (be it animation or live-action) to grow out of the repetitive and tired trope that displays a desk job or clerk work to be less fulfilling (or even depressing) than any presumed CREATIVE work.
