2012, there's no doubt. My favorite game that year is: "Spelunky".

Ah, 2014... I didn't get many games that year, but I do remember really loving "Dark Souls 2" that year.

More linear that DS1, but I loved the sense of scale and the extra RPG mechanics. Especially the ones involving environmental clues and puzzle solving.

For 2015, my favorite game was controversial when it came to the franchise's fanbase: "Fire Emblem: Fates".

Specifically the Nohr route.

I'm still really upset that TreeHouse butchered the script, but the gameplay is very solid and fun.

2019, my favorite game was definitely the: "RE2 Remake". Still want to do another 1st person mod run.

For 2020 my favorite game was: "Sakura Wars" (PS4) hands down.

Yes, it came out in 2019 for Japan; but waited 'till 2020 for over here. So, I'm counting it. lol
