We publish high fantasy RPG books with a lot of old-school flavor (namely the Chronicles of Aeres), inspired by the classic fantasy media we grew up with!

So if classes represent a kind of "toolbox" for gameplay, fulfilling in-game roles, then our races do the same for roleplaying, and their abilities facilitate this as well. This is classic D&D "diversity." A rogue, a fighter, a cleric... a hobbit, a dwarf, a human.

I've been asked if Aeres is I don't think it can be, since we're based in D&D 5E. But I'd like to think of our stuff as OSR-adjacent. I'm a Tolkienite at heart, and our books have an old school look and feel. Nostalgic pre-2000s fantasy is our main influence.

They didn't look like this. (Sorry to the person whose D&D character I randomly Googled.)

Ya'll know me. Our 5E setting has ratfolk and they're integral to the story. Our mascot is a ratfolk. We even published a complete 5E ratfolk adventure. Yeah they've got stealth and perception bonuses. But I also gave them a powerful ability straight out of the Secret of NIMH.

I doubt there are any absolutely universal beliefs in Aeres, but there's a growing and widespread belief that Saeyos, the great protector dragon of the realm, is actually a living god who will judge the dead for their sins. A harmless belief now, but one that could be dangerous.

Been there for awhile with Aeres. Kobolds have feathery manes and so do our upcoming lizardfolk.
